This season there are several fashion trends in place when it comes to watches.

Watches with a message, particularly an ironic one are in vogue. Good ones are made by a company called Normal Watches. Wearing one of these watches is the equivalent of wearing a funny t-shirt with a saying on it like “When Did Rock N Roll Become So Fucking Boring?” and “Love is the New Hate.”

Another interesting watches one made from Style guru that looks exactly like a grenade on your wrist. It is black and has a canvas strap. At the click of the firing pin the look alike grenade opens up to reveal a very military looking watch inside. This type of watch is a must-have item for anyone who is into military gear. Not to be too punny but on your wrist this would be quite the time bomb!

Yet another trend in watches is the Galactic Fashion Watches. These are the steam punk style of watches that look futuristic and ancient at the same time. MB&F makes these watches which have names like Horological Machine No3. They look like transporters or Enzyte dispenser made out of clumps of nickel and copper collared metal.

Another nice designer watch is the Volcanic Steam punk Watch by Fabric Genet which boasts a glass facade through which you only see dials. The glass is thick and green and the watch band itself is a rubberized material. The frame of the watch itself is copper and nickel color reminiscent of the forties.

Another trend is towards amorphous water which are inspired by the works of the artist Giger. A designer named BenjaminWysk uses amorphous and biomechanical symbiosis in his watch designs to meld humanity with the mechanism of time moving forward. These watches are bracelets that look like sophisticated jewellery. It barely looks like watch at all.

Yet another hot trend is towards Orb bracelet watches. These are watches that tell the time through means of collared lines that circle around a solid black cuff bracelet. The watch comes in two basic colors, black and white. However you can program it so that the time lines change color suing the provided software. You can change the time lines to purple. blue, pink or yellow which makes it a true fashion accessory guaranteed to match any outfit.

Very similar are the Flexible Electroluminescent watches such as the DD101 watch which are made with pSEL technology. These are cuffs of plastic that have what is known as an electroluminescent display. It looks like a normal cuff bracelet until you press the button on the side and the time is revealed. This is more than just a fashion watch as it fuses cutting edge display technology with an eye catching design. It consumes very little power and is truly at the absolute cutting edge of fashion design when it comes to watches.
