Why is your hair so important when it comes to the mating and dating games? First of all it is a tactile attribute, meaning that it is something that a man can derive pleasure from by stroking, touching or smelling it. Of course, the way your hair should also be visually appealing to the male. Whether a man likes a blonde, brunette or redhead is a matter of individual taste. Being fashion fierce is usually boils down to what you can afford.
There are trends in hair but the appreciation of hair is usually rooted in a guy’s idea of what his dream girl should look like. Some like women with long, silky blonde tresses. To have blnde hair is very retro in style. Men often associate darker hair with the smoldering sexual appeal of the “wicked woman.” Red hair is often associated with eighties looks and also with stubborn women.
Hair that shines like silk and glistens in the light is always fashion fierce. Hair has to be “touchable” in order for it to be erotic. The close shaven haircut or short blunt cuts can reveal a sexy neck and it is a cut that is easy to maintain. It is also always in style. . The long hair reminds them of the unspoiled innocence of very young women.
Evolutionary biologists say the male mind is attracted to anything that looks animal like. They are attracted to pony tails, pigtails and braids that are coiled up on the side of the head. Looking like a bunny rabbit or other small animal is the key. The tails look like ears. Another way to look anthropomorphic is to streak your hair. Apparently humans have a natural attraction to stripes.
Hair that is too neat has not been in style for quite a while. Try to give your hair a bit of a tousled look, like you just got out of bed. Stay away from stiff hairstyles that involve too much goop, gel or make your hair stick up like freestanding razor blades. Remember the key here is to make him want to “touch” it. Grease is definitely not a turn on for most people. Greasy hair is associated with looks from the fifties.
Adding a bit of perfume to your hair can’t hurt, however. To do this spray a bit of your favorite perfume high into the hair and then walk under the droplets as if you were walking through a rain shower. This way the natural aroma of your hair can intermingle with your favorite scent. This is a subtle way of reminding that special someone that you were in the room.

In order to be fashion fierce classy chick, you need to know how to dress. Classy is a word that thousands of men are using to describe their “ideal” woman, especially when looking to date people online. However if you do get to meet the man in person it is a good idea to look like the classy woman you described. It is also a good idea to look classy for a job interview.
Classy versus trashy is the question. The notion of the classy woman puts feminism back about forty years to the 1960s when they were associated such archetypes as Coco Chanel and Jackie Onassis. Bascially dress in the latest of designer fashions and exercise the most exquisite of social skills.
It is also all about grooming. Even if you are dressing a little provocatively you can still be considered classy if you are put together just right. Classy women never have a stray hair out of place or a button undone, unless of course it is done “accidentally on purpose.
Classy is still all about grooming. You can see this principle in effect in movie stars who combine fresh natural good looks with casual yet classic outfits. Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Annette Bening are also examples of women that most men would classify as ‘classy.” The only
If you want to appear classy to men then choose classic clothing such as riding boots, white shirts (with a few buttons undone), just above the knee skirts and black turtlenecks.
Do tailor your makeup so that is looks natural and pink. Wear just a touch of mascara and lipstick with sheer lip-gloss. Classy women prefer pale pink nail polish and French manicures to lurid or strong shades.
Do wear your hair shorter and keep it trimmed at all times. Very long hair that is tied up into a bun or shorter blunt haircuts are associated with classy women.
Do wear a one of a kind piece of jewelry or a watch that is designer, antique or an attention getting. The ultimate clue that you are a classy woman is the wearing of a charm bracelet. This tells the world that you are more old fashioned. Classy women also rarely wear costume jewelry because they consider it to be too tacky.
Do stand up straight when you walk. Greet all those you meet with a shy but pleasant smile. He Being classy and fashion fierce is not just about the clothes. It is also behavioral. Usually this archetype does not chew gum. The classy woman used to be seen with a cigarette in her mouth all of the time but that does not really apply any more either.

This season there are several fashion trends in place when it comes to watches.
Watches with a message, particularly an ironic one are in vogue. Good ones are made by a company called Normal Watches. Wearing one of these watches is the equivalent of wearing a funny t-shirt with a saying on it like “When Did Rock N Roll Become So Fucking Boring?” and “Love is the New Hate.”
Another interesting watches one made from Style guru that looks exactly like a grenade on your wrist. It is black and has a canvas strap. At the click of the firing pin the look alike grenade opens up to reveal a very military looking watch inside. This type of watch is a must-have item for anyone who is into military gear. Not to be too punny but on your wrist this would be quite the time bomb!
Yet another trend in watches is the Galactic Fashion Watches. These are the steam punk style of watches that look futuristic and ancient at the same time. MB&F makes these watches which have names like Horological Machine No3. They look like transporters or Enzyte dispenser made out of clumps of nickel and copper collared metal.
Another nice designer watch is the Volcanic Steam punk Watch by Fabric Genet which boasts a glass facade through which you only see dials. The glass is thick and green and the watch band itself is a rubberized material. The frame of the watch itself is copper and nickel color reminiscent of the forties.
Another trend is towards amorphous water which are inspired by the works of the artist Giger. A designer named BenjaminWysk uses amorphous and biomechanical symbiosis in his watch designs to meld humanity with the mechanism of time moving forward. These watches are bracelets that look like sophisticated jewellery. It barely looks like watch at all.
Yet another hot trend is towards Orb bracelet watches. These are watches that tell the time through means of collared lines that circle around a solid black cuff bracelet. The watch comes in two basic colors, black and white. However you can program it so that the time lines change color suing the provided software. You can change the time lines to purple. blue, pink or yellow which makes it a true fashion accessory guaranteed to match any outfit.
Very similar are the Flexible Electroluminescent watches such as the DD101 watch which are made with pSEL technology. These are cuffs of plastic that have what is known as an electroluminescent display. It looks like a normal cuff bracelet until you press the button on the side and the time is revealed. This is more than just a fashion watch as it fuses cutting edge display technology with an eye catching design. It consumes very little power and is truly at the absolute cutting edge of fashion design when it comes to watches.

This season you are going to see more high heeled sneakers than ever. One of the leaders of this trend is the running shoe manufacturer Puma which had its classic “Clyde” shoe revamped by Italian shoe designer Sergio Rossi.
The result is the new Puma line of Clyde shoes which are leather and satin on top of a four inch rubber heel. The shoe is available in bright colors like bright pink and fuschia with complimentary contrasting laces. These shoes are also made in a beautiful silver with white sparkling laces.
Ribcage inspired sneakers are also an artistic, if not very curious trend. Puma offers a collection from Alexander McQueen that is inspired by the anatomical design of the spine and ribcage. They come in a plaid mix of green, white and orange. Like all designer shoes these are quite expensive as they are “sneaker haute couture.”
However rib cage designed sneakers can also be quite demure. Puma also offers anklet style boots in plain colors like black and white that have the Velcro attached rib cage straps up the front of the foot.
Another theme in running shoes that is going to be really big this season is the black and gold running shoe. These too are made by Puma under the Sportie La Line. These are called Cali’s. The back and side panels are solid gold and layered under a black montage. This is mainly a man’s show and on the insole and sole is a montage of females cavorting in a black and white camouflage pattern.
Yet another big trend is for gold sneakers that you can wear on the golf green. Puma made a shoe called the Concord Gold shoes that are designed for golf courses. Wet or dry these flashy leather shoes are breathable and comfortable. They are really something that will put your best foot forward and help you look flashy on the golfing green.
A big trend in general is going tube the color purple. All shades of purple from concord grape to royal purple to fuchsia purple are going to be ins style for this Spring. Yet another important trend in terms of color is towards a dark, inky blue or a blue that is almost a midnight black paired with laces the same color or darker. Compared to the wild look of purple running shoes, these dark blue ones seem almost conservative especially in leather.
If you really want to be weird you can check out the dresses that are being made out of old running shoes from designers in Chile. Paula Santana made a dress out of old shoes with a princess prom bodice and a tutu like flaring skirt made out of old running shoe high tops and rubber.

This year wallets are unique so you have many different ways to carry your money now.
The weirdest one is the gun holster wallet. This helps you look a little tougher. It is made of leather and costs about $450.00. Basically this is a leather wallet that hooks over your arm like a real holster and is shaped like a gun. Problem is that it really does look like you are packing heat when you wear this accessory. You actually could get hassled at an airport for wearing it!
Yet another innovation in wallets is the waterproof wallet. This is called the Dosh and was designed by Henri Spalle and Mark Armstrong. The wallet is a unique blend of flexible and semi-flexible polymers that make it flexible, durable and water proof. You can fill it with bills and hold it under a flowing tap of water. It won’t get wet. It is also a roomy wallet that has room for keys, condoms, coins, nots and credit cards. It is a moulded item made from environmentally correct recycled plastic and it comes in a vivid range of contemporary colors.
One of the coolest fashion offerings this year is the Duct Tape Wallet. This is a wallet made entirely out of duct tape and they are made by a company called FractalSpin. However you could also make them yourself at home and there are plenty of directions as to how to make your own version of the duct tape wallet as a craft online.
A recycled type of eco wallet is the cassette wallet. These are tiny zipper bound wallets made out of cassette player plastic. They are a work of art in their own right because the title and appearance of each cassette tape is different.
Of you have ever wanted a wallet that lights up in the dark it has been invented too. The Light Up LED Wallet by Walluminate is one that you can make yourself . All you need to do is insert the LEDs into the stitching of a leather wallet. You can find instructions for how to easily do this for yourself on the Walluminate website online. This means there is no more overtipping of bartenders in dark night clubs or fumbling around for the right bill in the dark in the back of a cab.
Funny yet fashionable are the wallets that are made to look like fake food. You can get vinyl wallets that are designed to look like toast with a pat of melting butter on it or like a shard of uncooked bacon. These types of wallets are a worthy gag gift for $9.95.

It seems that men are finally becoming as conscious of their underwear as women are and that they are paying closer attention to the design and cut of men’s boxers and briefs.
It used to be that men just wore whatever underwear was on sale or that they could grab. Those days have changed. If you buy your boyfriend underwear as a present it is quite likely that one day he will say “you bought the wrong kind.”
In fact men are buying more underwear then ever and making their preferences known. They are even venturing into experimenting with new colors and silhouettes to accommodate changing male fashions such as low-rise jeans.
It used to be you were considered to be quite wild and fashionable if you bought those plaid or solid collared jeans. At Macy’s in New York the biggest trend has seen to be a preference for what are known as men’s “midways.” Midways are similar to boy shorts for women. They are a hybrid of trunks and briefs and come in a great variety of different fabrics including knits and woven fabrics.
The hottest selling color for male underwear now is no longer pedestrian blue or grey or even plain old white. Goth like black has beat all of these colors of male underwear as the number hue.
Jockey International reports that the sales of black underwear over the 2008 Holiday season were up 18 percent compared to 2008. Another best seller for that company is its 3D Innovations line which comes in red, white, black, denim and charcoal with red accents. This is as daring as it still gets. It is rare you will find a man who will put on a pair of pink briefs in a men’s locker room.
Although briefs are sexy and cool there are still a great many men out there who prefer boxers. Many adult men are into printed boxers with cartoon characters on them like Scooby Doo or SpongeBob Square pants. There are basically two kinds of men who like boxers – those who like the plain white ones that make them feel like Carey Grant and those who like ones with loud patterns. Trunks are similar. Basically they are boxer shorts that have been cut very short.
Men are also more concerned with comfort as the wrong pair of underwear can cause misery all day long. Cotton and silk are the most comfortable fabrics for the male crotch area. However cotton is more popular as silk does not make people feel too manly.
The old standby, briefs, also known as tighty whiteys never go out of style and have been worn by men for decades. The only difference is that they are offered more often in dark charcoal or black then they used to be before the arrival of the metrosexual fashion influence.

This year there were many trends in socks but one of the biggest was the big baggy wool socks that were inspired what the school girls wear in Japan. The socks like this for spring are thinner but they are still sexy and knee high in length. On the street or in stores you might just heare this refered to as “super loose socks”. The idea is that once you put the socks on that they do indeed sag a bit so your legs seem thinner.
Another big item is tube socks. These are athletic socks that usually cost about three bucks. The coolest ones are like the ones model Gisele Bundchen recently sported on the cover of GQ magazine. They were white, reached the knee and had several black stripes around the knee band. Black with white stripes is very cool as well. Both colors are usually worn with mini skirts.
Gwen Stefani is another celebrity who wears tube socks. She is known for wearing tube stops with things like lace up platform heels. Stefanie also cuts the toes out of the tube socks to display polished toe nails. The Harajuku Girls, the back up dancers in her stage act, also wore tube socks with their designer running shoes, tutus and British school girl capes. The entire fad actually originated in the Harajuku region of Tokyo which is known for its cutting edge fashion. It is a cutting edge that extended to socks as well.
Mariah Carey also is a big fan of tube socks and has been seen wearing them with the entire foot except for the heel cut off and in high heel running shoes. Yet another devotee of the tube sock style is retro punk singer Avril Lavigne who pulls a black pair with white stripes over sheer stockings and pairs it all with a hoodie and short skirt.
Another trend that comes from Japan are Split Toe Socks. This is actually age old footwear that finds its origins in traditional Asian dress. These socks are actually shoes and meant to be walked in. They have heavy duty rubber soles. Some of them even have steel toes and are worn by Japanese labourers such as carpenters. There is a version of these socks too that are more like sneakers and these are known as jikatabi. They have all of functionality of running shoes but they are much more comfortable. These are usually worn with rolled up jeans.
The ultimate in trendy socks is moisturizing foot socks. Spa Trends makes these type of socks. They provide overnight rejuvenation for rough tired feet. You simply moisturize your feet with peppermint moisturizing cream, slip on the lycra socks and wake up with very soft pampered tootsies in the morning. Not a bad spa treatment for only eleven bucks!

Geometric fashion styles are in shape for Spring and this includes wedding gowns. There are many designers that are hot on this trend but the designer that is mainly known for adopting this line and cut is Angel Sanchez. We have already seen this trend with boots which have had square toes and also in the fad for tip jar type platform shoes. Oversized square or circular jewelry is also very much a part of this trend.
These gowns are often cut straight across on the bodice which gives the gown a long rectangular shape when you view the gowned woman from a distance. The look is absolutely plain with no flounces, gathering or billowing details. Every detail on the dress is geometric in some way. There may be circular or triangular cut outs or insets in the gown. The simply cut cross shouldered gown or the gown held up with a large circlet of faux metal is also very typical of this look. The geometric look can also be emphasized by chains that hold up the straps of the dress.
Shoulder straps can be triangular or even circular and so can any fastenings on the dress. Even the hem of the dress can be cut in triangular swaths that hang from the waist. The effect is very columnar and very Greek Goddess compared to what we have seen in wedding dress designs over the past few years. As there is no draping or rippling it is also very sixties looking – like something Jackie Kennedy would wear to a ball.
Yet another signature of this type of contemporary approach to wedding gown design is the vivid colors such as canary yellow, bright fuchsia or bright lime green. The colors are very seventies and the effect is a bit of a neo-Italian modern. Once again — this type of look really does hail back to the sixties and early seventies. The hippest wedding dress looks like something out of a Brady Bunch episode – like something Marcia Brady would wear out on a date.
There is a trend in wedding gowns for this summer that favors wearing youthful looking sporty wedding gowns. They do look best on younger people although these gowns are definitely going to appeal to the bride of any age that wants to stay cool during a hot wedding ceremony. Some of them are so sporty looking that you could wear running shoes with them. Scalloped hems and dual tone sweetheart necklines also define this look.
If the weather is going to be steamy or if you are getting married on a Caribbean Island these shorter sportier gowns are definitely a good choice. They also look good with a pair of glittery or sequined thongs.

Fashion Week in New York revealed that once again designers are fascinated with shoulder pads. Shoulder pads are an item that most of us would rather see disappear from the annals of fashion for good but this just does not look likely given how many of them were seen on the runways in one of the largest fashion centers in the world.
One explanation give by a Bloomingdale’s fashion director for this phenomenon is that sharp shoulders give women confidence.
Whatever the reason these eighties style shoulders were in evidence everywhere for Spring 2009 including on the runway of Marc Jacobs. He created a kind of punk princess who was wearing those New Wave style zippered and slashed outfits complete with bulky, sharp shoulder pads. This design was paired with narrow pencil skirts. Sexy neon cut outs in pink and green also lent an eighties aura to his clothing designs.
However what is probably going to be most copied this year are is satin party dresses with big shoulders that come in hot purple, pink, green and blue.
Donna Karan’s clothing also boasted shoulder pads but in a softer silkier and more sublet way. Her clothing palette was dark blacks and greys and the sexiest thing about the line was little keyhole cut outs as well.
Cynthia Rowley showed a series of 1940s inspired dresses in silk, velvet and leather. The jackets all had those padded shoulders and so did her collection of stern black dresses.
Betsey Johnson also showed more structured clothing that was made of knits and fabric froth. This season for this lauded designer featured a look that we last saw on singer Cyndi Lauper way back in the eighties. The sharp shoulders were the only thing given these layered jackets and petticoats some structure. Her palette was less morose than others who showed fashions on the New York runway. Her clothing came in every color of the rainbow.
Padded shoulders were also apparent in the clothing of Jill Stuart whose clothing was a mix of leather, lace and billowy sheer chiffon. Dramatic sihlhouettes of cascading ruffles were complemented by sharp shoulders. One sensation and crowd pleaser in her collection was a white mini dress with padded “Patricia Nixon” style shoulders.
One of the oddest offerings was from a newer designer named Erin Fetherston who went one step further than the structured padded shoulders and added a mini hoop skirt. The collection, despite the sharp shoulders was a riot of ruffled necklines, floral prints and feminine colors like cranberry and lavender. It was a more feminine use of the trend and more Victorian rather than eighties in flair as was the trend with many of the other designers who showed in New York’s Fashion Week.

In March the designers in Paris began to unveil their latest fashions and the thing that was noted by just about every fashion writer is that the recession seems to have taken some of the oomph out the styles.
In the recent past (before the recession hit) Paris fashions were known for their opunelnce, high concepts and futuristic designs. This year the theatrics are all gone as it seems that even the Paris fashion houses have woken up to the grim reality of what the recession could mean for them.
For instance this Spring the House of Chanel, notorious for pink frills and chains, concentrated on showing mainly a collection of little black dresses with the only real decoration being tiny flowers like camellias affixed to the collars and cuffs of the outfits.
At the house of Lanvin nothing was shown but black clothing with jet beads. Yes there were fur coats and wraps on the runway but there was nothing too glamorous or trendy. The Lanvin offerings for spring were all about making an investment in clothing that could last for years. The sex factor was also not as overt as it has been in recent years with higher cut shoulders, decollates and backs. The effect was very sombre.
For the most part designers took no risks. Stella McCartney’s collection played it safe with silk dresses and oversized jackets. The collection was more about comfort than glamour.
Whether it was purposeful or not the House of Balenciaga was reminiscent of clothing that was popular during the Great Depression. Flapper outfits complimented by intricate beads and shimmery fabrics took the center stage on the Paris runways. Extraordinary beading and pleating were very much a part of these labor intensive creations which were all about the craftmenship of embroidery and other dressmaker crafts.
The designs of Dries Van Noten were a little less blasé and conservative. His collection included all kinds of dizzying geometric prints and photographic prints. Along with the black and white colors he also mixed in unusual colors like sepia, cantaloupe, aubergine and butterscotch. Pale pink and orange were also thrown in the mix to create a more psychedelic color palette that was a bit of a spit in the face to the sombreness of the other designer’s offerings.
The wildest designer on the runways this Spring was Jean Paul Gaulthier who presented fish nets on all of him models and also fishnet stocking as a print, a fabric for jackets and a casing for a full length fur coat. Gaulthier’s models also had outrageous make up and up dos that were compared by fashion reviewers to the worst sort of sexist sideshow in a circus.
